Sobre o evento
In this course, we will discuss the relevance of having diverse voices in your lessons and why this matters in ELT. Participants will be invited to reflect upon their own principles, beliefs and work contexts and look back at their personal and professional journeys. After that, we will briefly tackle social justice philosophy and draw conclusions based on recent studies on the impact that inclusive materials have on all learners. Then we'll look at different approaches to creating materials for diversity. Practical ideas on how to be attentive to students’ needs, embracing diversity and inclusion will be shared. At the end, participants are expected to understand how to learn from and appreciate everyone’s unique perspective and how to take action in their own work contexts based on the tasks developed.
